This picture speaks about the huge confusion that immediately after the 9/11 overwhelmed us with confused informations that eventually revealed themselves as unfounded.

My work only desires to denounce the lack of clarity as regards the causes of the 9/11.

There are many doubts we still haven?t solved, that generate too much confusion around that dramatic event.

With this nude I just wanted to represent the truth that fights against the uncertainty, the naked truth, the truth that hardly tries to survive to the dusty curtain it has around.

I didn?t want to discredit the 9/11 and I didn?t want to lack in respect to the victims of that tragedy neither.

I regret that the critics have been limited to a political argument with out consider the photographic work itself.

However I believe that the freedom of thought shouldn?t be a fault.

the us has done a lot of good and bad. i feel the good outweighs the bad. perhaps that is why so many immigrants still come to our country. we have plenty of problems, they are broadcast all over the world, 24 hours a day on cnn.

 

perhaps your country has no problems. if it does, perhaps you could focus on issues in your country. i’m so sure your fellow countrymen would greatly appreciate your efforts to solve them with your photos.

 

Maybe comments had been less harsh if this photo had been a good one in an artistic and photographic sense. The message was unclear and maybe the author had made it merely by instinct, without any clear idea of what he was trying to communicate.

 

 

My english professor at the university said I had the knack of taking the requried reading and deciphering the plot, hitting the nail on the head on what the author was trying to imply so here goes.

 

It looks like the naked truth to the attack on the World Trade Center is being masked by perhaps a government entity. The truth is out there.

To me the model and the projection seem unrelated and unconnected.

 

Also the model seems a little disinterested, as if she does not know what the projection shows. The model seems to show her regard for the photographer more than her awareness of the photo.

 

I think if the model was lit by a separate light the picture might improve, but I'm not sure.

 

I'm not sure if it's wise but you might want to experiment a little with this idea to let it evolve into something more mature.
