adalberto_tiburzi 0 Posted October 23, 2006 Boldly beautiful SAM SMITH October 23, 2006; 12:45 A.M. I saw the photo 'Enigma' and it stopped me in my trax what a wonderful image of boldness countered by a quiet subtilety of the tactile qualities of the foliage and wall. Your works cause one to look twice and that is always a good thing as it teases the imagination of the viewer, I'm happy to have seen this work, thanx...sam Link to comment

aseverin 0 Posted October 23, 2006 Hi, I keep bumping into this image, and while I definitely appreciate the idea, there is something that bothers me about it. The composition is on point, the subject matter is well spotted. But, its power is the abstraction .... it is an abstract image of a void in a plane in relation to a line. The tree just doesn't do anything for me, because it doesn't read as a shape. In fact, I'd say it really takes away from the overall effect. And while the use of photoshop is strictly frowned upon... just a thought-Alex Link to comment
wesleybrownphoto 0 Posted October 23, 2006 This is bound to happen when you through a bunch of photogs together...I have to disagree and say the tree does contribute to this one. Nice grab! Link to comment
gene_brewer1 0 Posted October 23, 2006 In my opinion, I would like to have seen the image without the foilage with the window offset to the right third of the image with the white wall in the remaining area. With the window/wall only image, it would be enough detail to define it as a window but not enough detail to allow the viewer to know the source as to what is it, how is it in relation to the rest of the unseen structure. Basically it would cause a lot of imagination to be used. Gene Ridgecrest, CA Link to comment
