havanai 0 Posted March 23, 2002 Overcast/rainy day. I was shooting the buildings and whatever else came into view. Felt myself lucky when these two nuns emerged from a door 50' - 60' to the left. I positioined myself at this corner in order to get the graphic black bands in the church corner and patio surface. Image has been posted awhile, but not frequently viewed in photo.net. Would welcome comments and ratings. Link to comment
savoca 0 Posted March 23, 2002 A great subject ! I see just two minor points: the black corners are a little bit disturbing (your polarizer ?) and I could do without the person on the right (I know, not easy to send them away....) Have you tried to convert the picture to B/W ? Maybe just leave the blue dress of the nun and desaturate the rest ? A real interesting picture ! Congratulations ! Link to comment
sue_bevis 0 Posted March 24, 2002 Been to this place, beautiful inside and out. Nice photo, agree with previous comment about vignetting and other personin photo. Link to comment
jodie coston 0 Posted April 5, 2002 Great shot, composition-wise, Kurt! I love all of the bold lines and the two people, accented by that gorgeous blue. Very nice work. Link to comment
cakeller98 0 Posted October 25, 2002 This is a nice shot. But, I don't care for the vignetting... or rather, don't understand what it's for. Also, the vertical lines of the building aren't vertical. (IMO) It would be nicer if they were... The whole picture is actually tilted as well. The yellow cast looks a bit unintentional.. you might consider modifying the gray-point. On the positive side, I like your subject, and volunteers :). The colors on their outfits are interesting. I've attached the corrected perspective. The horizon was rotated about .88(deg) CCW, and there was some significant perspective correction. See what you think? :D Cheers. :D Link to comment
