The kneeling figure is soft, as is the monstrance on the altar--at least, I think there's a monstrance on the altar. The only part that appears really sharp are the pews in the foreground. I'm pretty much a novice, so take this with a shaker of salt, but I think I'd have done a vertical composition emphasizing the kneeling figure in relation with the altar, trying to keep both sharp. And I'd have composed so that the hanging lamps were *not* in the picture. That would mean moving the camera to the right a bit. And then I'd probably have tried to do it hand-held, and bungled it completely. Link to comment
