I like how the shadow of the second "book building" steps right up to the front of the picture and throws the viewer off balance. General tone/colour/contrast, too.

what a beauty! Great perspective and purple cast. The light is magic. I did a shooting there last June. The place has such fine shooting opportunities.

Hi Juan,

I like the photo.

If this were music as you suggest about architecture, could this be in the light of "Handel's Fireworks"?

Cheers Peter

You do have a poetic way of capturing architecture. It almost seems like the personal vision of an architect upon an other architect's work. Are you an architect?

Guilty as charged Andreea, I'm an architect, and I love photography, hence my inclination towards this theme. I'm glad that you liked this one, I do believe that there’s poetry in every space we inhabit, I'm even more glad that you found poetry in this photo too. Cheeers!

Jill, Cely, thank you both for unearthing this old one, I'm glad you liked it. This is one of the few photos taken with film, that I’ve posted on this site; every time I receive a comment such as yours, I wonder if I should post more film images, or even if I should take out the old camera for a change. …Two comments, means I will.

Thank you for that!

Some really great light and reflections in this shot. Loving the purple tones too. Great work Juan.

And thanks for checking out my fledgling portfolio. Need to add more to it.

Thank you Matthew, I really appreciate the time you took to go through my portfolio to find this “oldie”, back when I took it, I was mesmerized by the possibilities offered by color film, and all the different results you could get by just changing little in chemicals, time or temperatures though out the developing process. This was one of those experiments, which turned out well, unfortunately not many did. Cheers,
