like the shot. makes me ask a lot of questions. even more questions with your given title. and right away I get a sad/bad feeling... run aways? street kids? abandoned?

brother and sister? victims?

 

I dunno. But a good thought provoking photo. At least with the title the way you've got it. I wonder if it would have hit me as much without the title? But since that's how I saw it..

A lot of scrambling for ideas for comments above. Ambiguity is its own reason for being.

I like the ambiguity - the strange burning in on the upper right looks almost like smoke to me, as if buildings are burning, as if this is a war zone, but i don't think it is - that's the story my eyes are telling me anyway.

Good capture of the feel of Bucharest - an absolute shithole. Gritty, polluted, poverty-sticken, crime-ridden, wonderful people.

 

I, too, have friends I will go back to see. Whether or not they will be alive and waiting for me, I can't be sure. Such is Romania.
