bw 0 Posted October 10, 2006 Thanks Linda. I think you hit the nail on the head when you describe this as 'subtle'. Subtlety is indeed what I was trying to achieve. Link to comment
kentb2 0 Posted October 11, 2006 How you get so much impact from the simplest of shots has always impressed me. The tension of the light airy clouds against the heaviness of the dark waters produces a nice tension. The reflection is just one more sophisticated layer to be explored further. Beautiful work Brett. The only nit-pick for me would be the small bits of sky barely peeking through, creating a weird line/tangent on the top left cloud/sky area. It needs more or less but either way a shot I would gladly hang in my home. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted October 11, 2006 The Kentster about said it all. The one word that comes to my mind is, "timeless." Then, "sublime." Let's just go with excellent. Link to comment
bw 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Hi Kent, Thanks for the - as usual - excellent critique. I did spend some time playing with slight crops to remove the small patches of sky in the top left corner. I agree that they are distracting. However, the cropping seemed to throw the balance of the image out, so I left them in. Unfortunately, there is no more film past that edge so I couldn't include just a little bit more of them either. Link to comment
