Man On Bridge

zackariah_cole

There was some strange white blurry stuff on the left side of the photo so I PS'd some more on the right side to make it equal. I then blurred everything but the man a little just for effect. And added a hint of red to the photo.

This was technically a screw up with all the white blurry stuff on

the edge but I decided to go with it anyway, I kind of like the

effect. Other than that though, how is the over all composition? Is

the background lacking?

I think you've done an excellent job at conveying a mood. The sparse background enhances the focus on the bridge and subject. The blur also helps the viewer focus on the main subjects... I like it!

Nicely done.

I like the idea of this photo. The technique shows promise... The problem I have is that the bleached areas are too eye catching, they are a stronger feature of the art work than the subject himself. I find my eyes skipping the photo and going straight to the bleached borders.

I don't know enough about photography or the camera I took this with to know exactly what created the white blur on the edge. It's an old GAF camera I purchased at a rummage sale for 50 cents. So that may explain part of it. I honestly would have rather done without the blur but I don't find it to be overly distracting. No, I did not use a pinhole, I used an auto-wide 1:28 for the shot. Thank you for the comments.

Why not just crop the right and left sides? The edges detract from the central focus of the picture - the man.
