davidbridge 0 Posted October 4, 2006 i just thought I'd put this up here. I don't really need your comments as I know its a crap shot. The sky is blown out and the saturation needs adjusting but so what? Just look at it! This is the M6 about three years ago. I drove over the bridge and thought "what the hell?". On the other side of the bridge a man is being shot by the police. I took a photo of that too but its not actually as good a pic as this. I mean - this is the M6 - empty!!!! I dream of it being quiet but this is empty. I have to drive this peice of shit road twice a day whilst looking at the back of a stream of Vectras, Mondeos and Lagunas ever so slowly passing a line of HGV's, trucks and bloody caravans. In case you wondered - the guy who got shot had been waving a gun around out of the window because the police were chasing him. Turned out to be a fake but hey, what an idiot. What did he think was going to happen. RIP man. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted October 4, 2006 I guess that this is in London? Well ... I LOVE it! I live off of a major interstate highway about 25 miles outside of Washington, DC and drive the same 25 miles of I395 and I95 twice a day. I can't imagine it being empty. When I first saw the thumbnail & caption, I was going to comment like this: "What - did YOU create a "situation" just so that you could get this shot?" :-) Thanks for the dreamland photo.................. davidbridge 0 Posted October 5, 2006 Probably should have stated that this is Manchester. Although its just a snap i really like the photo for the reason stated but one day I will clean it up in PS and hopefully turn it in to a better pic. I have never bothered as it was taken with a 4mp Kodak camera that over-compressed its images so zooming in always shows too many artefacts on images taken with it so they tend not to process too well. The image is obviously therefore straight from the camera Link to comment
