Pnina, seems like you are preparing for Halloween. Were there any kittens in sight? She appears to be lactating or pregnant. The gorgeous lime green and graffiti have enlivened the scene. This is a funny capture. Regards and best wishes to you friend.

Pnina,I like your composition and caption. Your mixing of garbage bin with art on wall and cat on the foreground shows your acumen.

Pnina, the cat fits well in the surrounding and the green color,in the end, you make the art complete how you combined it together.Nice picture.

;-)), Kelvin, I really could not check if it is a mal or a femal.... what attracted my attention is the impossible/possible melange of the scene. Not everybody "cup of tea" probabaly... but it worked for me

And thanks Amal and Alix that it worked for you too, I see it as an authentic street shot...

The combination of street elements (including cat) is perfect; how lucky and clever of you to see it and capture it in such marvelous detail.

Interesting combination. I like the placement of the cat in the image. The grafitti is like the thoughts of the cat. However, the green color makes me though feel that it is connected to earth! Great shot.

there's a lot of food for the eye in your photo...the cats attitude is great...but what strikes me most is the juxtaposition of different scenes painted on the wall behind...that brings a lot of life and poetry expression like "everybody's has a life to live"..the cat, the people, everybody...in that respect I can modestly sugest (my opinion and taste) that it could have been interesting to have a more extended DoF (like in a lanscape shot)...the contrast between the container, the cat and the wall is already enough to isolate the subject and having the scenes on the wall more in focus would allow the eye to wander around them...because I think the painted scenes bring a lot to the photo...anyway a very nice shot that I like.

And I do not agree with Laurent. With this dof it is the cat that draw our attention the most and I like it. For me it is rather a sad story about the life in the urban jungle. Somehow this life survives though it is constantly bombarded with agression and unfriendliness.

differences, thanks to all of you.

Laurent, thanks for your suggestion, but I will explain my point of view that is closer to Michals thinking.

I saw the scene in a very small empty street , and quite end of day, not a human soul around .

So the cat and green garbage can were very prominent, and the graffitty a bit farthere behind So I have decided to focus on the cat and can and leave the people far in the BG.

It served two points. it was as I saw it, and it was a statement of urban life where cats and garbage cans have a strong presence...

Kelvin, your comment and what you think has a higher significance for me, Thank you !

I respect your view Pnina...I like the photo as is anyway... furthermore I guess in such a shot there's no time for lots of thinking...a very nice capture.

Why do you judge me?

I've seen this same expression on faces of the homeless in the big cities.

Simply an alley cat, but your photograph speaks volumes.

Thank to all of you, your feedback on this one is really diverse and interesting .

Mixed surrounding and a whole lot of confusion are resulting in a very sad expression of dispare and "I wish I was somewhere else" type of a look!

Jack, daily, Andrea, Haleh and Colin, what a great group you are!

I'm glad you have connected to that image, not an easy one of urban life.

Fantastic Pnina! Colin said best. Great capture and great composition of urban life. I hope that your surgery is minor and I am sure that all will be well. Please keep me posted and than you as always.

I like the cat on this green... what ?... perhaps a dustbin ? The idea of the half-starved cat in a dirty scenery is good, yet if you had moved just a bit on your right, the cat would stand out better on a clean area of the wall.

Marco, thanks, I will keep you posted

Henri, I think you are right about a bit to the right, but I was afraid she will run, so I worked fast, I did not want to miss this one,I did another one and she run away... this is the better from the two,and served my idea.. ...Thanks
