bartimeus1 0 Posted September 30, 2006 Have you shot this one from the moving car? Touching image. A capture of a moment in the subjects lives. Are they cooking or what...? What are they seeing...? What happened after you moved to another location...? What is happening to them during I write this comment...? ??? I find it interesting to notice about what kind of thoughts you image woke in my mind. So, I rate this as a good image, because it raises questions and wakes my imagination. Technically it has some matters, as you propably well know. :-) Thanks for sharing the moment with us. Link to comment
rapo 0 Posted September 30, 2006 Thanks Alpo, you describe very well what I try to express with this serie. I think these panned, not technically perfect pictures are more expressive. I suppose she's a food seller, probably cooking rice or sorgho with some fat sauce. Link to comment
stephen hazelton 3 Posted September 30, 2006 It seems to me that this is a fairly static picture with a lot of motion blur, and I don't think the combination works well- I find myself wondering why the blur instead of caring about the subjects. If there was some obvious fast motion going on, this would help to emphasize, but not the case. Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted October 2, 2006 I like it as I like all the serie. Having lived in Venezuela for many years, great many places very similar to this one. You have captured the moment perfectly. The movement makes their remoteness of their location and what their doing so important. The moment passes and you don't even rememmber it any more and yet their life continues in this fashion and for a moment it is interwined with ours. Great shot. Link to comment
rapo 0 Posted October 2, 2006 Amen, Marco! You describe exactly what I wanted to express. I just needed your words to continue the serie! Link to comment
