Hello,

since some of you gave me good suggestions to improof the image - I

have tried to do this and resubmitted the work to get a new opinion.

Please if you do not like the image - give me some comments on what

you don't like... a bad raiting with a comment is a good rating for

me - comments are always welcome. Not only the good ones...

Rating bad without comments is worthless!

regards and thanks

alex

Alexander, I saw your original image and thought it was good but lacking a bit in contrast. The repost is a definite improvement. I love this image. Excellent, excellent work.

Impresive image, compared to the original posting I think the high contrast helps to add impact but some of the dust is now washed out. I think if you play with curves in PS your can you increase the contrast on the darker colours and keep some detail in your whites.

for the story: it is the trail up to the Bromo Crater. A vulcano on Java. There you can ride up a dusty path on a horse and walk the rest quite steep stairs up to the crater rim. The picture was taken at about half past 8 in the morning. A lot of tourists are there and the horseman can earn some bucks. I liked it, but my D200 swollowed a lot of dust... regards alex

overall a very good photo.. definately a keeper..

especially the mist is a big plus...

1. but I think teh composition is a problem.. to me, it contain too many things and I loose focus.. I would crop wither top or bottom 1/5.. and play around to see if there is any difference???

2. I would choose center point as viewer's focus point and desatarate gradually out,, to guild view 's flow.. (or teh other way around)

3. The rock texture is very tasty.. it is possible to use multi-layer + level (lighting) to increase the texture of rock , while maintaijn same brightness. ?

in spite of all, it is still wonderful photo.. I wish I were there.....

May I know where this is taken ???

a festable

thank you for your comment. The problem is, that I am an absolutely PS newbe :-) and also removing some tourists from the track would be quite hard. Probably shoot them ?! - no just kidding.

The location is at Java in Indonesia. There is a Volcano called Bromo. go there and you will certainly find this place.

cheers alex

ALEX :

If this photo is a pre-PS processed.. then it is a master piece.. Most of people (including me) rely HEAVILY on PS to make photo dramatic...

pleasese learn PS and you will find you play magic........ you will improve your photo beyong your imagination..

By the way,, you can "remove" those toursit seamlessly in PS.. if you spend enougght time , carefully execute it,, want to bet ???

good luck..

JOHN
