I like the perspective and framing but the donkey is underexposed. Although this does give an interesting sky the subject of the image should be the facial expression of the donkey. If there is enough tonal range left think that you could try using curves in PS to lighten the image, perhaps even use the extract function to isolate the donkey first.

Neil, i agree. i've already brought up the donkey's face as much as I could in PS without it looking unnatural. the difference between sky and foreground was just too much to overcome. I had hoped that the adjustments I made were enough to make a pleasing photo, but i guess it's still too dark.
