ha-ni-ton 0 Posted September 8, 2006 i always think that bulbs are the most boring thing. but you have made a nice photo. there is a high artistic sense in it. i dealt once with bulbs. i'd like you to see it in my single photos. nice capture, justin. hani Link to comment

eachica 0 Posted October 5, 2006 Yup, I like it too. I like a spin on the ordinary and I think that is what you have accomplished here. What really caught my eye was the washed out appearence created by your grain... nice touch. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 14, 2006 Justin- I like this not only because your compositional choice is eye pleasing, but it is so well exposed. The gentle shadow of the light keeps it anchored to the ground. With a high key image like this, sometimes things appear as though they are floating in air. You have done a supper job :) I like the old feel of the graining, but I would also like to see this one without it. Just for comparison. Really nice job of capturing a simple, everyday item :) Link to comment
uriah 0 Posted October 15, 2006 LOL.....thanks so much! Here again is one of those shots where I asked myself....."how'd I do that?"....LOL I used a large piece of foamboard that was angled exactly how you see this shot. Not flat in other words. It took me a second to get the lightbulb to sit like that and not roll off. I had my 20D in my hands and turned on a worklight from above, which is all I had at the time besides my 550. I think I may have used the grain filter in PS to give it the effect I was trying to convey. Thanks again for being so helpful to me! Justin Link to comment
ifeito 0 Posted January 12, 2007 I can't believe the way some anonymous raters rate pictures. I was expecting to see this shot somewhere around the high 5's or even low 6's... Great shot, very creative use of digital filters. Ignacio Link to comment
annachan 0 Posted July 28, 2007 I was taking a glance through your images and this one really caught my eye. Not to say that the others aren't good, but you've taken such a mundane object and made it so striking. Good job! I'm going to have to try this sometime! (Maybe not a light bulb though.)
