steveandruth2003 0 Posted September 8, 2006 I am getting into this street photography, should I go wider to show the surroundings or keep it tight? Link to comment
olafdevries 0 Posted September 9, 2006 Stephen.., that's your decision. Always. Do photograph what has your interest! What you do like (!) seeing it! That's the adventure, looking for something YOU like, what is toutching you! You think this man interesting? Make him the most interesting! A building? Make the building the most interesting. A wall, a clock, a dog etc. etc. And scenes..! Person (s) in their surrounding. Very satisfying to do..! And how is the light..?! Difficult all this..?! No, just watch and like. Ten photos a day..? May be.. May be just one or two..! You have to like something. About this photo.. We can't see what's around him. Here the corner is a bit a problem. Nearly in the middle. A difficult place. Not a disaster..,but what's on the right is "half" shown. Of course one can crop. But cropping that is to much.. And that corner will not disappear. The most part of the photo, the composition has to be made on the spot. It seems, as if you couldn't choose now..The person, his head is interesting enough for tight. But in most cases you will have to pay for getting permission! :) Now, I would have liked to see the rest of the man too.. instead of the wall above him. So, you are the eye.. Succes with watching and by watching getting a feeling. Regards! Link to comment
