tylerwind 0 Posted September 6, 2006 Terrific exposure! I love the sky--the snow white clouds and dark blue portion contrast well. To be honest, I might like to see a bit more of it! I think the power lines take away from the shot but I can't complain because I run into the same problem so often. They don't ruin it, but I know personally I hate having them in my photos. I think you could produce a different shot with more sky that would be just as pleasing if not more. BUT, overall, this is a terrific composition and a well exposed B&W. The colors and texture of the trees, buildings, sky, and clouds contrast remarkably well and make a wonderful shot! Link to comment
patrick flynn 0 Posted September 6, 2006 I too have some dislike for the power lines. A tighter crop would produce a nice image, however you would loose some of the contrast that the sky offers. My other thought on IR is that a lot of brush / grasses tend to blend with trees and shrubs eliminating a lot of detail. Link to comment

susan stone 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Nice appropriate subject matter for a B&W IR composition. I too am guilty of leaving in the power lines and they just don't work, I like the fence though. Nice range of tones with this IR image. Link to comment

kellyphillips 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Nice capture. I just got the hoya filter you used here. I never thought IR would be so hard. I've used it a couple of times. My pictures turned out dark. If I pushed it a few more seconds it would be blown out. You have any tips? What was your exposure on this? Link to comment
