phokus 1 Posted September 6, 2006 hi I like her expression! She seems very comfortable in front of you and the focus is good here. You could experiment with croping...How about croping her, say from her middle forhead, and on the left hand side of her face. that way you would have an even more intense focus on her eyes, and the hair would be blowing towards her right from the croped area. if you understand my explanation...(I wish there was a crop tool here...). But nice job, and good photo! John Link to comment
gilbert_fortier 0 Posted September 6, 2006 Like the hat and the wind blowing from the side. The neck lace gives a little bright spotlight in the middle... Like the simple expression on her face, and the slightly sexy feel the picture has. Great palette of gray tones too. Could have cropped the hat too, yes, but I kind of like it that way! howard_lipan 0 Posted September 6, 2006 I really like this natural shot. You have captured a wonderfully relaxed yet alert facial expression that grabs my attention and draws my glance first to her warm eyes, then down to her face, hair, breasts and arms. But I am distracted by that expansive, detailed cap that dominates almost half of the image real estate. Who cares about that cap that distracts from the true focal points of this neat portrait -- her face, engaging eyes, wispy wind-swept hair, and lovely slightly-out-of-focus discreet cleavage? I don't. Unless this is a fashion shoot for the cap -- and I'll bet it would sell lot's of them! -- I would crop through the midpoint of the elastic band portion so virtually none of the cap's detailed top pattern appears. Great shot! Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted September 6, 2006 Interesting... I actuall like the cap best of all. Very nice highlights on it too (for me that's a plus). Good spontaneaity (sp), the wind blown hair and the direct gaze are great. Very nice black and white. Semi-shallow dof. Love it. (reminds me of some of the adverts I've seen recently like for Gap or Eddie Bauer or...) Very cool Link to comment
vsuley 0 Posted September 7, 2006 I have to say that I rather like the cap. Cropping it midway would probably ruin the picture for me. The knit has a very unique feel to it and I think it lends personality to what would otherwise just be a portrait of a beautiful girl. And like someone already said, that relaxed yet attentive expression in the eyes is totally characteristic of youthful love. The tones are pretty good, but I wish the top of the cap was a little less bright...but that's just me. I think a very light vignetting might look good. Link to comment

jason j 1 Posted September 20, 2006 My favorite of your photos so far. Like how her hair conveys movement, the shape of her hair and body, and the intensity of her eyes. Well done. Link to comment
