tylerwind 0 Posted September 6, 2006 I really like this idea and think this picture is good, but could be improved. Personally I'd like to see the boat a little bit bigger. Also, although I like the "stormy" sky look, I think it's a little dark and monotone. I think if the clouds had been more separated (or fewer of them) and you could light up the sky a bit more, the picture would have turned out better. I think you did the best shot you could with the day you were shooting--another day probably would have given a better shot. Overall, it is a great idea and good composition. Link to comment
lauro1 0 Posted September 6, 2006 Just take a look to this pic (it was my first post in Photo.net). Best wishes. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2880623 Link to comment
delchev 0 Posted September 6, 2006 Thanks for the comments Tyler, actually when I took this photo I have just removed the teleconvertor, when the boat appeared and just pointed and shoot a few times (I have a couple of photos of the same ...errr... seascape, but without the boad ;-)) so I just did not have the time to tune better. The light was pretty gray - this photo is slightly saturated, I could do a little more, but it starts looking like a drawing, instead of photo, besides I like desaturated images better. 15minutes after I took this photo I found myself in quite a storm :-)If I guess right what Carlos has written - the horizon is slightly tilted - it's true, but it is less than 1 degree and I could not get satisfactory results when I tried to get it right, sorry... :-)Francisco, really it is similar, but your boats look bigger ;-) Regards!
