manolin 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Great illustration, colors work great here, with the butterflies, I like the expression of the girl very much...The image really makes me feel autumn, a season full of melancholy and inspiration to create nice images like this :) Link to comment
katja faith 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Oh yes, this time I'm just short for words! This is beautiful. I like the accented parts: eyes (eye-lashes more), lips and the butterfly. Rather unpredictable decision and I love it. Thank you for the the previous comment with support, I'm just finishing work on a manipulation too (now I've plenty of time and don't have to take pics of cafes and bars of my city :))))) Have a summer-warm day, autumn's just a word :) ! yakup 0 Posted September 3, 2006 body! to worship and body when died. What will they doing ? Link to comment
hekate 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Manuel : thank you, this actually a self-portrait, I slightly modified the eyelashes and the lips, to make them look more doll-like. I am glad you like it :)Katja : you\'re most welcome :)thank you so much for the appreciations. I can\'t wait to see your new work !!! ;)As for the butterflies, as you know, most of them die in autumn, so the image may be seen as deeply ambivalent. Joyful colours and the beautiful girl (oh I\'m so modest :D ) taking a picture of herself and on the other hand the butterflies (fragile beauty) and the darker spots - suggesting death and decay...Yakup : thank you !! if I got it right, you somehow felt the subliminal message of this image. Yes, we worship the body. The body is both beauty and death. It is beautiful and will die. This is why the image is wrapped up by cocoon lines (a crypt-like atmosphere), but nevertheless it has bright colours. The image is YOURS, you can give it your own interpretation and overinterpretation :) Link to comment
jefvandenhoute 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Very creative and a beautifull image in its pastel tones. I picture you can dream on Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted September 4, 2006 Very delicate and a bit haunting. Butterfly imagery works very well, love the raised eyebrow and the intense lip color. This one really keeps you thinking and looking. What is the font on the title? I love Gothic/Renaissance type. Is this one of Dave Nalle's fonts? Link to comment
hekate 0 Posted September 4, 2006 Thank you Les :) The raised eyebrow is my "specialty" :), it's so nice you noticed this detail. The font is called "Parchment", I'm sorry, I have no idea where it's from, I just had it there, in Photoshop. I guess you can find it on the internet. I liked it too. PS : If you have tips on other gothic fonts, I am very interested. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted September 4, 2006 Cristina, you are too young to think of death ;-)) Think of life...anyway, it is a nice rendition of your idea. The figure is well placed on the frame, nice texture and ellements, that are working well together. I also like the letters you have found that are compatible to the whole. Nice to meet you Cristina. Pnina Link to comment

wogears 186 Posted September 4, 2006 Hi! Dave Nalle's Scriptorium fonts include dozens of Gothic styles. I was able to find a (legal) free source for Parchment. Thank you. Don't miss the William Morris stuff at Scriptorium! Link to comment
pulok 1 Posted September 7, 2006 Creative work! (Thanks for the comments on my photos; I would love to see your work mentioned in those comments too.) :) Regards... Link to comment
hekate 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Thank you, Pulok ! If you refer to my 3D-generated landscapes, I haven't posted them because I did them just for fun or to incorporate them in other creations. However, "Elegance of Evil" was generated in Terragen and touched-up in Photoshop. Link to comment
anja 0 Posted September 17, 2006 I like your works. Very creative, great manipulation full of phantastique visions. Link to comment

mirkomkb 0 Posted October 3, 2006 I see this one as a very sensual photo. Really: her eyes and expression, and the gesture are very intime and you could be lost in that eyes... as she is lost in the environment ;) Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 278 Posted February 13, 2007 I can't say anything else, speechless, as people say here sometimes! Nice to meet you Hekate! If you once come to my place, will you please tell me what is the effect here. It's perfectly fit and I would like to be able to apply it on some of my pictures! Cheers to that! PDE Link to comment
