jason j 1 Posted August 29, 2006 I like this composition. However, the man's head seems a little bright and the light seems to have bounced off his head onto wall. Most of all, I like the concentration on his face. The collar makes this more than a simple work shot. Link to comment
blowingsky 0 Posted August 29, 2006 This is a really great shot. Lots of impressions. Taking down instruction from Above? Logging sins? A few more confessions and he'll have enough material for a screenplay? I don't mind the bright head, as it adds to the darkness and the white collar. Link to comment

chips 0 Posted September 1, 2006 Striking composition, the texture of the unvarnished walls, the worn suit, lines in the priest's face. The angle of his head and the diagonal of his pencil -- all work together. The tone seems appropriate, the hot area on the priests' head could be dodged to match the hand and look more like a 'halo'. This is both fine art portraiture and documentary photography. It is elegant, graceful and contemplative. I am delighted the priest is serious and meticulous --- these are privilaged moments hearing a secret confession from a trouble sinner's soul seeking unearned holy absolution and devine healing. GOOD WORK !! Best regards, Chips Link to comment
