street photography karina 0 Posted August 23, 2006 What a marvellous duo!!! Very nice how the dog also looks into the lens. A pity you didn't step a bit to the right to avoid the woman in the background and to get a bit more depth. But, very nice anyway :) Link to comment
bob dennis 0 Posted August 24, 2006 Hi Chris I agree with Karina and you can't crop it because of the bag which is an integral element of the image. It's so hard to get that right on the fly. The eyes may add to it, giving her a dissipated appearence. Despite the composition I like it a lot, once again you capture a view of America that's not part of it's typical external image, very human. Congratulations. Bob Dennis Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted August 24, 2006 i love this one too. i do have a suggestion on dealing with the woman in the window. you could change the color of her shirt which would make her blend into the background. then she wouldn't be such a distraction. Link to comment
bens 0 Posted August 24, 2006 Nicely done Chris. The turn of the dog, and its position relative to the woman, add something very attractive and relaxed to the mood. Wonder also what it would be like in some sort of black and white version, though not in replace of, but in addition to, as the colors add alot here. very nice, natural immediacy to this also. chris hayes 0 Posted August 24, 2006 To all those who commeneted on the image I wish a word of thanks, this photo has recieved the most comments of any I have posted as well as the highest ratings, I was suprised. As a result I can honestly say I have learnt the most from this one photo and your ideas for improvement have been addressed and played with for quite a few hours. Thanks again, Chris Link to comment
