tmjacobs 0 Posted August 10, 2006 This folder contains some first 'try-outs' in HDR technique. I've looked at quite a few HDR photos and while the results can be spectacular, too often they look too unnatural IMO, although that seems to be more a matter of the tone-mapping settings used than the HDR technique itself. I've tried to avoid this by adding the original photo as a layer with an opacity that I thought gave a natural result. The (heavily restored) church itself -in my hometown- is not particularly beautiful or interesting (certainly not compared to the others in my portfolio) but the light-colored glass made the HDR technique very suitable (although some photos in this folder look pretty much the same without it). The tone-mapping is done with Photomatix pro. Comments are appreciated. If possible, take a look at the 'large' version. Link to comment
