did you only used natural lightning on the setting?

lose background (open up the aperture and/or use longer focal lenght to increase blur); don't cut off her left foot

As for cropping, it was an accessory editorial shot. enlarging the shots composition would have reduced the bag to an unacceptable degree, given the magazines page dimensions/format. Ideally I might have liked to go a smidge wider, but it was impractical.
