hilander 0 Posted August 8, 2006 Very nice! I like that the background matches the color of the apples too. Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted August 8, 2006 Clever and very well done. I'm curious as to what processing you did to get the soft glow, which is extremely effective. Link to comment
giuseppe_miriello1 0 Posted August 8, 2006 nice realization.. i really like it.. there is only one thing that can be improved and that is the color of the interior of the apple... it looks yellow, probably due to the post processing or either becouse it took you some time to shoot the image and the fruit has taken too much air... if it is the second i would suggest you to add lemon juice on the cut apple, this way it will remain almost white for a longer period of time... on the technical side, nice intuition to break up the round geometry given by apples and substitute it with a "brick" look... jack fitzgerald 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Thank you all for your kind words. To Giuseppe: I know the trick with the lemon juice:) but the brownish tint of the slices was made on purpose, actually I used dodge/burn in PS to accentuate the tint. All the best, Jack Link to comment
giuseppe_miriello1 0 Posted August 13, 2006 hi jack... i wouldn't have though you kept the brown on purpose... now looking at the image again and again probably i am getting more convinced of you choice: eventually a too bright feature would have created too much contrast on an otherwise - quite - monochrome image. kindest regards. g.
