soltani 0 Posted July 29, 2006 Brilliant composition, the difference between the frontal and rear flowers is realy nice. Well done. Link to comment
teresa 0 Posted July 29, 2006 The tonal quality and detail in the forground is great. The bowing sunflowers offer a thoughtful contrast to the tall and proud ones. It's too bad the sky didn't co-operate with you more. Link to comment
aeaster 0 Posted July 29, 2006 Great going Frank. I admit that I never considered how good a monochrome field of sunflowers could look. I am stunned and delighted. About the sky; I don't find it in the least bit uncooperative. The purity of the vast expanse of blankness only accentuates the tones and textures of the rest of this fine photo. Link to comment
frank_p 0 Posted July 30, 2006 Thanks Ali, Teresa and Andre for your comments. I can see what you mean, Teresa, but I do believe that the real subject of the photo only wins through the uninteresting sky. What's more, as this shot was taken on a cloudy day, the diffuse light helped me a lot in getting the good BW tones. Link to comment
