Not a model but a friend of mine. I have two new photos of her in

this folder please have a look at them and let me know what you

think. The other one has some scanning problem unfortunately.

Comments and ratings welcome.

Tom, Her head looks disproportional to her large..umm, let's say; physique from this particular angle and focal length.

I would like to comment on why I consider this a 9.9. The image is soft, just as her skin appears to be. Her breasts are sensuous, without revealing her nipples. We can see her eye, but only one. Her panties are "pointing" to her bottom, without revealing her genitalia. Her legs are in the frame, but the fading depth of field seems to just give a hint of the possible events to come - again without revealing too much.

I know this was lengthy, but felt it deserved more than just great shot.

This one is also good as the others have commented. OTOH I think the highlights are a bit harsh for a basically soft-theme pic (maybe it's just the dodgy monitor I'm using).and the background is a bit cluttered. Still a really nice photo. - Jasmine

If that is a DOF issue at the buttocks then so be it, but it almost looks to me as if a blur was employed due to any grace in the transition.

I applaud the use of a model who appears more everyday in looks as opposed to the standard cheese. I don't like the choice of emulsion, however. Tri-X would do this lady much more justice--not to mention your work. For protraits it's just about unbeatable.

Finally, this image lacks contrast in a similar way to the shot Vuk posted of a model he uses frequently--that was about a month ago, Tom, the one where I did the A-B comparison.

Tom... I like this image for many of the reasons already expressed. I like the rapidly decreasing DOF. Looks like the cheek highlight area got blown out in the scan, though. I would also agree on choosing Tri-X over T-max 100, but that is really a non-issue. You handled a potentially tough subject (nudes/semi-nudes as well as heavier body) very smoothly and naturally.

Yes, she looks real indeed, just like woman next door. The picture is a bit grainy, yet good balanced despite tight cropping. My only complain would be lack of details and contrast. BTW, you should post larger pic next time?! :) Cheers, Tom
