ejharris 0 Posted July 21, 2006 Arnab, Great tones and details in the rocks. I also like the exposure of the sky. The only problem I have is the location of the lighthouse in the image. I think that it is too close to the edge of the picture. Otherwise, this is a good shot taken in tough lighting conditions. Ed Harris Link to comment
arnabbanerjee 0 Posted July 21, 2006 Thanks Ed. I have another version with more of the lighthouse - I will work on that. But I appreciate your feedback. Link to comment
manishraichur 0 Posted July 21, 2006 The depth in this pic is great.I like the foreground that was used to guide the eye in the picture. As someone said the the position of the lighthouse is too much on the edge.but excellent detail and perspective Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted July 21, 2006 I respectfully disagree, and the composition is what makes this shot unique, for me. Everything in the composition from the bottom up works to pull the viewer's eye staight to the lighthouse and then out across sea and sky. One thing is for sure, this is not a static photograph. Good job. Link to comment

robertbrown 1 Posted July 31, 2006 Arnab, I like this photo very much. I was tempted to suggest cropping the bottom dark rocks and making this square, but then you lose some of the sweeping drama of the photo. Tonally, this is a little gray for my taste: I wish there were a bit more snap, a bit more black and white. Overall, this is an appealing landscape shot. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted July 31, 2006 Here's a quick and dirty slightly less gray version: with some time in PS, I think you could significantly improve the blacks and whites in the rocks and lighthouse without losing detail in the sky. Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted July 31, 2006 Bob, your changes are subtle, but I like them... care to elaborate on the changes? Link to comment
