lucas82 0 Posted July 18, 2006 Couldn't pass a shot of this tiny guy. What I don't get, is that I shoot at 100 ISO, but still get bad noise if I so much as talk about adjusting my contrast levels. Any suggestions? Link to comment
stevespencer 0 Posted July 18, 2006 It could be a setting, such as sharpness (on the camera), or the nature of the camera and the way it processes images. My Panasonic FZ20 is a naturally noisy camera that is otherwise excellent. There is a program called NeatImage (www.neatimage.com) that is a very powerful and effective noise filter. The free version does just about everything the pay version does, but you can't use it commercially. I spent the $8X.xx whatever for the commercial version, I liked it so much. It is not a cure-all, but is effective in many cases. -s Link to comment
lucas82 0 Posted July 19, 2006 Wow, that is much better. I'm definitely gonna check that out. I don't do commercial stuff so the free version should do me just fine. Thanks a lot for the tip Spencer. I was starting to wonder if I was gonna get any help at all on it. Link to comment
