Ahhh yes, that time of day when you can put your feet, crack open a beer and enjoy a smoke! This guy looks like he's earned all that after a hard days work.

I'm sorry, I chuckled out loud; nevertheless, at your word I may give it a try. (I'm still smiling as I type) You're comment has made me feel good yet also I feel amused. You have made this a good day. I'm am thankful that you aren't shy to speak your mind. I wouldn't have imagined such, dear friend. ~Sky

Hey My Texas Buddy!

It's been too long, huh? Thanks for the comment. I really like

this picture! What kind of filter is that? Keep in touch.

Hey Christa, Glad you stopped by. A small camera with a grainy image creates most of the filter effect I'm afraid and a black and white conversion with a light mask around the edge. Perhap a bit of blue filter for contrast.

Glad to see you in the neighborhood again. ~Sky

Nothing like kicking back after a long hard day of work. Great photo Sky!

Thanks so much Laurie. You can say that again.

This is not something I get to enjoy regularly, but it is nice when the day rolls around and I find myself slowing down and remembering all the things that make life worth living. As I watch the sun slip behind the trees and see the butterflies and bees finishing their day and the occasional rabbit hop out to eat and listen to the loud quietness with hawks soaring overhead, it allows me to collect my thoughts and muster the will to jump back in the mix and get after it again. I just decided to dig out the camera and tripod this time.

By the way, I always enjoy reading your simple bio about loving to shoot and sometimes breaking things. It always makes me grin. Sometimes I imagine you shooting bottles off fenceposts with a Colt .45, but really I get the gist of what you're saying. My imagination gets a little too vivid at times. Glad you stopped by. Hope you don't break anything too expensive or irreplacable. Take care. ~Sky

Hi Ghiga, Thanks for stopping by. Thanks for the links. It is a good reminder to keep my camera close by all the time. I miss too many photographs while going for the camera.

Sky, looks very " texan" characteristic, but can be nice for every one..I like your description of the end of day, very poetic! nice shot.

Hoping the best for you all in Isreal. I suppose I should say ya'll as we Texans would say it.

Thanks for stopping by. I suppose anyone can be poetic if they just write about the beauty of nature around them. It is already a poem waiting to be written I believe. This is a nice way to spend a late afternoon. I guess this would be perhaps the uniform of this area. I never think Texan or cowboy because of the clothing. They seem natural to me. Also, I somehow feel comfortable in many environments and a variety of clothing. I really am thankful for your comments.

Peace, peace, but there was no peace... Some day there will be peace. God bless until then.

I am hoping peace will find it's place in the world someday soon. Keep safe, Pnina.

Best wishes from Texas, U.S.A.

~Sky

Sky, thanks for all you wishes. Peace is what we are striving for, but you need " two for Tango".

As Long as terror exist I don't see peace coming. Sad, but cruel reality.

Seeing the poetry in our world, is a special skill.

Thanks again Sky, I appreciate your words, Pnina

Handsome cowboy...yep! That's what porches are for, aren't they?? Had to stop by on one of my rare visits to the computer this summer. Hope yours is going well.

Summer is flying by. I hasn't been too bad. Enjoying the days here also, before Winter finds its way back... Glad you stopped by and thanks for adding to my blush. You and everyone have been so kind with this image and have left me in disbelief and thankful.

I have to try to remain...

How does it go? Remain as young as I feel. Somedays that doesn't go too far. Hope ya'll are havin' a perfect Summer out your way. Glad you stopped by. ~Sky

Well, it's a great image! I'm thinking that some days I don't feel as young as I am...hmmm...glad your summer's going well! Things are cooling off up here today. We actually got rain and 60's temperatures. Feels good, after the heat.

I know, I know...

Life is here today. We have to live it and hopefully enjoy it while we're at it for our lives can change so fast. Take care. ~Sky

You are one handsome dude with your feet up and guzzling beer with a cigar in hand.....ummm hummm. Life is good and this is one of your better "portrait" compositions, I can feel the pleasure of a day well lived. I'm almost done haying and of course mother nature is finally cooling off a bit. Ya'll take care.

You have given me a great big smile. (Perhaps from disbelief...)

Thank you and I'm afraid ya'll are affordin' me too much credit. Time and weather are chislin' away at me but it sure beats the alternative. I'm not ready to fertilize daisies just yet. I do appreciate your compliment; all of ya'lls kind words, more than ya'll know.

Sincerely, ~Sky

P.S. Go ahead and send some cold air our way. (I know I need a swift kick for sayin' that... I'll be complainin' of the cold soon enough.) Boy howdy, it seems as humans we forget our belly-aching awful fast but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to trade this hat in for a sombrero if it gets much hotter.

Well, not only is this my favorite picture in your portfolio, but I gather from all the nice compliments that you're the model as well :) Feet up, cold beer, cigar - I love the pure relaxation going on. This was the perfect shot for black & white as well. Great shot & I hope you often feel as relaxed as you look here
