"Toto, We aren't in Texas any more!"

I took a lot of landscape pictures while on vacation and for some

reason they all seem to be really flat and dull..Any suggestions on

how to make them come alive?

Answering your question - there are several reasons why you feel your photos flat:

1) If you would like to get 3rd dimension in your photos you have to use 3D composition as well, what mean some elements in foreground, some in mid-distance and then background

2) It is badly focused too, BTW

3) Too much sky, try avoiding placing your horizon line in the middle of the picture

Thank you I appreciate your suggestions! Landscapes aren't as easy as they look! Every photo I took looked better through the lense than it did as a finished product! :-(
