sabina dorneanu 0 Posted July 5, 2006 When I saw the picture on your page, before I know its title, I thought - what a beautiful snail! I guess that's what you saw too. Very interesting perspective - distorted, I guess - and I find the contrast very intense. Cheers, S. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted July 12, 2006 Good stair shot. A novel angle, and the plants at the bottom are essential in setting apart from similar images. I like the vignetting, too. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted July 16, 2006 Very nice shot, dear Alex. I love the swinging lines in it and the look into the deepth. Have you reached that 'streched out' shape effect in PS? It works very well. It really invites me to climb on the balustrade and to let me slide downstairs:) I like the constrast between the old look of the graceful 19the century balustrade and the modern metal material of the steps. Though I'm not sure what concerns the blue tone you have added. I think the whole would look more sprankling and striking when the metal steps should have a more silvery look. But that is a matter of taste of course. However an nice and intersesting composition, Alex. Warm greetings, Ada:~) Link to comment
alexguerra 0 Posted July 24, 2006 Thank you all my friends for commenting, always so very nice to read you. Answering to your doubts Sabina and Ada, the 'distortion' is natural, those stairs really have that shape and a even much more impressive one when seen live. Also as Chris noted, the vignetting was created naturally by a roof window on the last floor; the light was very favourable in this occasion. In fact the only post-work I did here was simply b&w conversion with channel mixer. Ada, the blue tone has just appeared out of experimentation, as usual =) Link to comment
