gregscott 0 Posted July 5, 2006 Get closer if you can... A macro lens or adapter may be necessary. The lower left hand corner, with the fern, is the nicest part, with the curving lower and upper branch. Link to comment
dchatter 0 Posted July 5, 2006 You have a nice vision and a good sense of composition. This photograph is well-planned, very well observed, and nicely executed. The direction of light on the drop is very well chosen; there is a tad deficiency in balance which to me is quite appealing. There are however a few things that can perhaps be improved, but please treat them as mere suggestions. Firstly, I'ld like to see a background which melts faster. In particular, the broad leaf in the far background and a little to the left reflects much of the light directly into the camera. (It is difficult to take into account every such leaf in the undergrowth, no doubt, but that's a challenge!) I'ld may be turn it away or myself move and change the perspective. Secondly, the leaves in the foreground are tender and small... I'ld prefer them much sharper in comparison to the other leaves in frame. In short, it would look better if the foreground greenery dominates and pops out at the viewer. Finally, it's my personal view that it would look better in b/w, especially if the foreground is stronger. Best regards. Link to comment
