Many hundreds years ago, there is a fire that burned away the layer of coal, & through many years of sun, rain, wind, the colours of this rocks formed naturally. Link to comment

jeremy_c 0 Posted July 4, 2006 Beautiful picture, Cherlyn. The range of colour tones and stratification in the rocks is impressive. Assume that this was also taken during the Silk Road trip? Is it a panorama or an elongated crop? There is no clue in the photo such as a distant caravan, etc to tell the size of the rocks, but I guess they must be large.
