laurent_jaussi 0 Posted June 29, 2006 very nice portrait....expression and mood...skin tone is nice...maybe it's my monitor (it's not calibrated) but I would try a bit more saturation/contrast Link to comment
skersell33 0 Posted June 30, 2006 Ali - thanks for the input. I'm going to play around a little more with the crop. Laurent - I'm going to play around a little more with the saturation... although I do like the softness this portrait portrays as it is now. So, we'll see what happens. Thanks for the feedback. gavin.churcher 0 Posted June 30, 2006 A very nice portrait and a beautiful model! I agree with the previous comments - whilst I like tight crops, this looks a little off-balance and I would either include more below the chin, or crop in tighter into the hair. It doesn't lack saturation, just tonal range for a bit of punch - easily remedied by tweaking the levels or gently using curves. Kind regards, Gavin Link to comment
sully 0 Posted June 30, 2006 Sherry, Nice natural light shot. My only input would be a little more contrast. Link to comment
dusty2004 0 Posted July 7, 2006 Hi Sherry. See the difference in light. This is soft natural side light. It adds modelling to the face. No harsh shadows. Lovely portrait, well done. Just a hint, try blurring the background a little more. There are a few ways to do this. Using a larger aperature, increasing the distance between subject and background. Using a longer focal lens or combinations thereof. Again learn and study about depth of field. It will help you improve your work. Cheers. Link to comment
