uingee4ahg 0 Posted April 20, 2002 What do you think of this photo? How could I have made it better, or still make it better in photoshop? I'm not quite satisfied with this shot. I would like to detract focus from the right and bring out the reflection of the clouds more. Any suggestions? Link to comment
alex_medeiros 0 Posted April 21, 2002 What is your intended image? I am assuming it is the reflection in the car. If it is, I think the lamp post is distracting. You need to find a way to use the reflection to greater advantage. Contrast it with a person looking out or with some other focus. Best wishes! Link to comment
matthew_newbold 0 Posted April 21, 2002 If you are looking to improve this image in Photo Shop I would suggest adjusting the black, white, and neutral points to bring-up the reflection. Then blur, dodge, or airbrush the background. The lamp is a major distraction and the area in the lower right corner is also a problem. Link to comment
heleen verdonk 0 Posted April 21, 2002 Carlos, at first I should clone out the two lamps in the background and the plate which I see trough the window. Than as said blur or soften the background, you will see the reflections will come more to front already. besides that i should crop a part of the left side of the picture so the dark spot in the left corner is gone.I gave it a try...than I selected the windows and played with brightness and contrast. When you go photoshop or a program like that there are a lot of possibillitys. So I do not say my try is the only option, just to show what it can look like. And give ideas. Link to comment
ricardojmendez 0 Posted May 1, 2002 Hi Carlos, First try to do some histogram manipulation to adjust the colors, there seems to be a cast in the image. I learned how to do this from www.scantips.com and a digital book called "Grokking The Gimp" (don't have the URl right now I'm afraid). Also, as Heleen mentioned, I'd remove the lamppost. The sign is bothersome, but not as intrusive as that lamp. Blur the background a bit so that it focuses the image more on the car and the reflection (assuming that's what you intended). Just some suggestions. Good luck, Link to comment
