rod_melotte 0 Posted June 15, 2006 At the time I was disappointed at the lighting in late morning. Sometimes bad is not so bad. The lighting on the OTHER side was washed out and we could not stick around for perfection as we still had 600 miles to drive that day. Link to comment
jcmellen 0 Posted June 15, 2006 Very nice. Would be quite pleased if it were mine. Well done - 7/6 Link to comment
joanbn 0 Posted June 15, 2006 Lovely. Haven't been there since 1972. Had forgotten how beautiful it is out there. Link to comment
J. Perez 0 Posted June 15, 2006 Very nice picture with wonderful colors. I assume you stitched this from multiple exposures. How did you do that using a polarizer? Link to comment
rod_melotte 0 Posted June 15, 2006 Nope - that is a natural photo - no tweaking at all. I did use a setting "in-camera" to saturate the color a bit but I think that setting is on 99% of the time. Sort of like using the "cloudy" setting if you have it on Auto.I have always wondered how photographers got those colors in Arizona. Well - that IS the color! Using a Polorizer was a problem actually with wide lenses, the shot is cropped. Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted June 15, 2006 Good shot, not terribly different but still interesting. The pattern on the landscape shows up nicely. The light is a little insipid, but the shadowed buttes work well against the brighter sky. This could be stronger in black and white. I really like how you've positioned the road cutting through the frame. cheers, Aaron Link to comment

rod_melotte 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Frame too big. hmmm - yea - I have about 20 frames from this one and am struggling - thanks. The reason for this choice was I wanted to photo to stand out and not get cluttered with any lighter background. I also have one with a thin white border around the photo but . . . . my wife didn't like it so . . . . Link to comment
