erics 0 Posted June 10, 2006 Almost an abstract. I really like this, which is unusual - flower pictures, even my own, don't normally appeal to me. Link to comment
ivan_scipiades 0 Posted June 10, 2006 Poetic but I miss a little the reds of the poppies. I tried enhancing the red shades by adjusting levels in the red and green channels and/or increasing a bit the saturation of the red colour and I am satisfied. Hope you don,t mind. So I will shoot poppies like yours for myself. Thanks for showing. Link to comment
derek moore 0 Posted June 11, 2006 I don't know why, but I'm having trouble describing what it is that appeals to me about this photograph. I like the softness and I like the muted tones, I also like the shapes of the poppies and the regression you've achieved with the poppies in the background, v.good DOF. I think it's a very unusual image and a very pleasing one, nicely seen, beautifully photographed. Link to comment

timohicks 0 Posted March 13, 2007 This piece should be framed Denise; you are correct, I use my painter's eye for photography exclusively; it is impossible for me to do otherwise. What makes this painting work for me are the background elements both from a colour perspective and in terms of the soft, creamy out of focus qualities, producing non-competitive support for the foreground. Good work and thanks for the comment on my portfolio. Regards, Tim Link to comment
