not too.. I think the technicals fit the image.. the sharpening serves to accentuate the lines in the face.. the "cold" color cast suggest a hard life. I see many, many more photoshop'd manipulated "photos" that move the art form way past photography into art and design. Not so with this image - I feel the tool was properly used

Thank you everybody!

Thank you Neal Grillot for you opinion about my work!

Hi,Tom Geller.Your opinion a question that has given rise to much controversy. Before digital technics, the photographers use other manipulations to produce an effect like this.I'm a from new generation and i can use only this way-photoshop.I think this is the same, just a method of work is different.

The color is weird. You'd have been better off not messing with the color or desaturating to B&W. As a character study, the color is distracting. People love Photoshop, don't they?

Awesome portrait. I love this desaturated look, but it's a little over-sharpened. You're starting to get haloes.

Wonderful portrait; easily among the best I have seen.

Do you mind sharing what techniques you used in Photoshop? I would guess desaturation and some sharpening. Care to share?

Best wishes

You caught a marvelous face, whisker, look, eyes--just right. Great moment. Congrats. Would love to see more like this.

Great portrait. Smooth colours, sharpness, expression everything is good. If I had to change something I would add space on the top and on the right. But it's great like this

Maybe it is too much photoshopped ... but the shot is really well done: the angle of the camera makes possible to isolate the subject against the sky and to give more emphasis to the character, and the DOF, IMO, is perfect. Congratulation.
