andrea_gingerich 0 Posted February 6, 2002 I don't know what it is that I like about this photo, but I think it's great! Maybe it's the colors? Definitely a good shot, though. :) Link to comment
markuskj 0 Posted February 7, 2002 My sister and her friend were getting ready for their next race, they were the best runners in the school so the race was really between them and I tried to catch the subtle nervousness of the situation - do you agree? Since I was there it is hard for me to look objectively so I welcome all coments about the composition both characters and background and if the subtly comes across to a wider audience many thanks! chrislong 0 Posted February 7, 2002 I also like it and I'm not really sure why. It seems very edgy. The contrast and color saturation are great, and the composition just works for me. I really like this. Untill I read your comments I didn't see "nervousness" really, just two people talking, but that means that it works well without an explanation as well as with one. dustinhenry 0 Posted February 7, 2002 That's how I'd describe this image, if that is a real word, that is. It is an akward image, both subjects are heavily cropped, yet it still works, which intrigues me!I think what is significant in it would be the composition: how the white stripes in the field basically direct your eyes toward the two runners and the person on the right is somewhat pointing at the left person. The detail: It's a crisp focus on the runners and deep enough in focus to catch the sports field in the background. And the color: It's a real rich and well lighted image. It just doesn't seem artificial, it looks like everything is supposed to be that way. Well keep it up, it certainly got my brain going this morning, faster than my coffee will! Link to comment
