After being up all night, our guys were given the chance to catch

some rest in a theater before boarding their plane back to Iraq. It

never seems to matter how much you sleep on the ground, you will

still sleep on the plane, and you will still have jet-lag when you

get in-country.

I like the guy on the top right that is taking a photo of you taking a photo. It's also interesting to see the two "couple" sleeping together in a set-up like this. And the "guard" is interesting also.

As said, a good documentary photo with a lot to explore.

Pat, I was up all night with these guys (luckily not deploying myself) and now I fully intend on a nap as soon as I'm done typing here :0)

Keith, you're not the first to say that:0) Without any caption or backstory to accompany a lot of the pictures I took in this this theater, you'd think something awful had just occured...and all under the blissful gazes of Maylin Monroe and Dean Martin!

Stephane, I was quite surprised myself. Usually we aren't allowed to have loved ones with us at this point, we've already sent them home. And with so many different people an situations to explore, it was surprisingly difficult to get good shots without disturbing people. The couple on the right hand side (blond female) can tell ya that much, as I forgot to turn off my flash for a sleeping portrait of them :0)

Thanks for stopping in and commenting everyone, I really appreciate it.

Stephane, I'm not sure he's taking a photo. That looks rather like a Sony PSP game system. If so, it makes the whole scene rather funny to me; the officer or NCO looking at the lone guy playing games while the others sleep.

You must have really needed a nap to mistake Humphrey Bogart for Dean Martin. I cant even comment on the photo now.

Oh, good call Knicki. The only meager excuse I can offer for such poor judgement is that there are in fact Dean Martin photos in the place. But you are right, upon further inspection I realize that it is in fact Mr. Blaine. I guess the poster is a bit short for Dean Martin too. Apologies if I have offended thee :0)
