exertusfides 0 Posted June 26, 2006 Very nice capture, including 'pose'. Nice composition and colors. Mainly the noise and possible resizing/gamma/something issues in the black, especially around the tail detract. If you had it, even more room at the bottom for a more vertical frame, may have made this even better. Link to comment
StephenElia 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Here is an updated version with a vertical crop. It was a rainy day and the Black Bird was wet, possibly accounting for the potential 'noise'. The original image was fairly noise free. It might be the jpeg compression as well. Link to comment
birteragland 1 Posted June 27, 2006 You can get rid of the noise with a blurring tool in PS.Very nice shot, think I would have cropped it a bit more.Just returned from Northt america where I photographed many of these. Link to comment
exertusfides 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Looked at the updated image - I can still see the 'noise', or rather, looks more like gamma issues. I wonder whether you may be missing it because of your monitor. Also, you have plenty to work with, not sure how it would look with, as suggested in my original comment, bringing in more 'empty space' at the bottom, leaving perhaps about the same at the top. Also, whilst I realize you likely put a larger sized updated image for finer viewing, it is too big for me to see all at once. Not sure on the protocols etc at photo.net yet though, so that might be quite a normal procedure. Apologies if so. edit: to add, I forgot to mention that the rain captured is also a nice element to this shot Link to comment
