My first attempt with C-41 bw films, a kodak portra bw. I didn't

manage to tame this "beast" in the darkroom, always resulting in dull

or overexposed prints. This scan looks a lot more atractive in tonal

range.

Like the tonal range but miss the focus on the mouth also.

6/6 -- Sometimes the trees are missed for the woods and the cigar is little more than rolled tobacco! The impact of the image, for me, far out reaches the technical fretting and bantering. All that is good fun; however, here, an excellent image well captured! We've had Avedon redefine naturalistic close ups after decades of polished glamour, Witkin revive negative and social treatments and now here, someone who can authentically and frankly take a shot without compromise and simple elements in partialness. Excellent!
