pnital 36 Posted May 20, 2006 Was taken at the coffee shop of the art center in the city. Thanks for your thoughts, Pnina Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted May 20, 2006 Pnina, I like the atmosphere the light in the background creates and the silhouette of the girl. What is distracting, imo, are the chairs and tables. have you considered cloning them out? Link to comment
mikestacey 0 Posted May 20, 2006 This is well done Pnina. I kind of agree with the comment re. the tables etc but I realise it was probably a dynamic kind of shot. I think maybe if the door way to the left was removed it would increase the atmosphere of the scene. The fact that the girl's face is only just distinguishable is perfect for the mood of the photo. I like the warmth of the image too. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 20, 2006 Thanks for your comments. Paula, as Mike stated it was a dynamic take in a coffee shop, so the table and chairs are a part of it. I did not want to clone it out because I think it is a part of the atmospher. Mike, you may be right about the cropping of the left side, I'm uploading the cropped version. do you think it enhances the image? Link to comment
mikestacey 0 Posted May 20, 2006 For me this works much better Pnina. There is better focus on the subject and more focus on the theme of the image. Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted May 20, 2006 I like this. The chairs do not bother me as they are part of this cafe. We can clone out anything these days...but then we are losing something, making the photo fake. The idea is great and this is a dramatic shot. I bet you could go back and take more photos if you want. You could crop-darken the chair area a bit, crop out the light... but nice as is. (I am commenting more on the other comments.) pnital 36 Posted May 20, 2006 Daily, for a nice comment. Mike, thanks for comming again, I think that both forms are good, I'm glad the second works for you. Sarah, you are right , I can go again, but I like it as is and the cropped one as well. Amal, thanks for your always nice comments. Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted May 20, 2006 Hi Pnina, as with 99% of the grab shots on here we could nit pik this to death, of which I am as guilty of doing as anyone. I think either version stands the test very well, yet I do prefer the tighter crop.....Jim Link to comment
peta 0 Posted May 21, 2006 Hi Pnina :)...I like both for different reasons, one being what Sarah states, the other it seems to make it more of a statement...but it's a very cool shot either way! Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted May 21, 2006 Cool. The exposure is spot on with subtle hints of shades. Link to comment

baldurbirgis 0 Posted May 23, 2006 Pnina, really nice work but I like the cropped version more. Link to comment
david robinson 0 Posted May 23, 2006 Pnina, I am in agreement with those who favor the cropped version. Your image captures this interior wonderfully. The interior also refers here to the mind illuminated with the beauty of this art. Well done Pnina, most enjoyable. Link to comment
blackdogstudio 1 Posted May 24, 2006 I Love this alot. Maybe it's the colours and because it is backlit... I am not sure! Very well done Pnina. Very nice. Love this. Regards, Kelvin. Link to comment
