john falkenstine 1 Posted May 17, 2006 Well, I recognize the remnants as that of about a 1986 Honda Civic..I deferred a business trip to Wichita Some years ago after seeing the weather report on the tube. My timing was good and I got to see the aftermath which looked like this. In some places, even the bark was stripped off the trees. Dazed and homeless people were gathering what was left. Guest Guest Posted June 10, 2006 My mind repels at the thought of what happens to flesh and bone if it is caught out by a tornado. Link to comment
HuskyMason1 18 Posted June 17, 2006 Ray, excellent documentary photos...satisfying on a level of making the public aware rather than the uniqueness of the photos. Link to comment

martinstott 0 Posted August 2, 2006 is that what americans refer to as a compact ?. it amazes me that you can have clear blue skys and not a breath of wind only moments after a tornado has ripped through. my all time fave photo depicting the power of the wind is of a piece of straw that has been driven completely through a telegraph pole.
