mars790 1 Posted May 19, 2006 nice pic Emily. i can offer a few tips. your angle is good but you want the flower leading the eye into the frame not out of it. the flower should be placed more to the left in this case. also, try not to cut off any petals as the uppermost edge is lost. the black bit at the bottom right is distracting. if you moved a step to your right, it would be out of the pic. and lastly, a bit of sharpening would help. keep shooting, your eagerness to improve will drive you through practice. i've learned a lot in my first year (next month) and still have a long way to go. passion is the key and you have it. cheers... Stock-Photos 1 Posted May 19, 2006 Emily, Well done. Your picture here reminded my of one of mine: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2446586&size=lg which was made from an even lower angle. Having only the sky in the background simplifies my flower image. Maybe you'll go for a lower angle next time! Link to comment
emily_e 0 Posted May 20, 2006 Thank you for your comments. I did like your photo--it was very nice. I took similar photos to this one, one being:>>> I like the one you just saw a bit more than the one above. The focus is not very sharp, but that was my intent. Thanks again for the comment!!--Emily PS. If you cannot see the picture very well, you can also view it in my portfolio. Link to comment
