This Old Barn

Ah, I love these old places. That open door almost invites me to enter for more shots

The barn makes a potentially attractive subject and your composition is okay. Unfortunately the picture is ruined by the completely washed out, featureless sky. I realise that the weather is beyond your control, but the image needs to stand on its own.

Places like these are meant to be explored...wonderful barn you found. I love photographing old, worn building too. I like this picture.

Old barns and stores are my favorite subjects and I like the way you did this one. I do agree with Vartan about the sky. If possible, go back and get one with a vivid blue sky and it would be a great shot! Thanks for sharing

I especially like the half-fallen off door on the left side of the building - adds to the derelict look. The paint colour is also quite special. I agree about the sky.

I find the light sky an appealing part of the picture. If it were blue, I don't think the red barn would stand out in sharp, warm contrast. Really a good, comfort picture!

I know a professional or an instructor would say to paint the sky in or re-take the shot. However, I like for photo's to be as much reality as they are surreal. The reality being, the sky was not jumping out at us this day. The surreal being, wow, this is so calm or colorful or whatever feeling was evoked in the viewer to have create the sensation of surrealism.

Blah blah. You get my point, I'm sure.

To sum; I like just the way it is. Natural.
