joseph_pugliese 0 Posted May 7, 2006 Not much experience with automobile photography. Can anyone make any suggestion on ISO speeds, shutter speed or any well known rules and techniques that apply to digital photography and cars? Thank You Link to comment
justincase724 0 Posted May 12, 2006 I can tell you what I do when taking photos of cars, but I am by no means a professional, and others may do it completely different than I do. I like to keep my ISO low (no higher than 400) in order to get a sharp photograph. However, if it is overcast or late in the evening, that can be sacrificed. Next, I try to keep the shutter speed fairly low, depending on the speed of the vehicle and whether or not I need to pan to take the photo. Ideally, you want the shutter speed slow enough to capture the sense of motion, but fast enough to get a clear shot. Last, I look for a good angle to take the photo. Hopfully that is what you're looking for. To be honest with you, by looking at your picture, I feel I should be asking you for pointers. This is really a great shot. Do you have any more?
