lax368 0 Posted May 5, 2006 I would like to perfect my editing skills as well as my photography skills. If you like, let me know, not only if you like the photography, but also if you have any pointers on its editing. Thanks. Link to comment
sarge1 0 Posted May 5, 2006 Kevin, Start with your best shots - you can't edit it quality - practice, shoot from different angles, different lighting, and different filters - photoshop can't add quality - only you can. As a Photolithography engineer - I make chips - even my hobby in photography helps me think before I shoot. Basics are best....use your heart and mind in the shots Jim Link to comment
dangoldman 0 Posted May 6, 2006 i think that you might have a slight bit too much ground. A common critique i have gotten (on an aviation photo website) is to always try and get lower, and get less ground and more sky. Also, there is something weird about that red light, not sure if i like that or not and if it can be fixed but otherwise i think its fantastic. Link to comment
lax368 0 Posted May 8, 2006 Both advice is very good thanks. I will definately keep them in mind, especially in my aviation photography. Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted May 8, 2006 So I'm asking myself, what statement are you trying to make here? And the best I can figure, you're going for a surreal look. To heighten that, maybe you want to minimize the ordinary or non-surreal elements of the picture. Dan is right, a lot less grass would be better. In fact, I would go for a really tight crop on the plane, just enough to get the interesting lights and sky in the picture. Then maybe dial up the saturation even more to increase the other-worldly blue color of the plane. Link to comment
