snowboard U.S. Snowboard Grand Prix Big Air Competition

This was the finals for the US Olympic snowboard team. I am just

starting to shoot action. Any comments on this or the rest of the

folder would be greatly appreciated.

Any editor will tell you "I want FACES FACES FACES!"

 

Though there's a few exceptions, this photo needs a face.

 

In addition, it's a bit soft.

 

Finally, the boarder's position in midair doesn't tell us much about what he's doing or where he's going. People like to be able to tell what's going on when they see an action shot.

 

Keep shooting. It takes a lot of film to nail down sports/action technique. It comes with time and lots of practice, trust me.

I really like the viewpoint, but I think you need some other detail in the snowboarder. Possibly, as the previous post suggests, if you had caught the face of the snowboarder.
