The late afternoon light brings the texture of granite boulders to

life.

I really like the deep colors in this photo. The composition with the rock dominating one side and the sky the other, adds to the contrast that's provided by the colors. I like this quite alot.

I love them textures, they make me want to reach out and feel the grittyness of the rock!

Nice texture in the rock - lighting was just about right.

In the acute side lighting of late afternoon I used a circular polarizer, leading to this strong, deep blue in the sky. Incidentally I did not notice at the time (but only when I got the slides back) how the gradient in the sky and rock go in opposite directions.

Nice blues to contrast with the earth tones. Well done.

The two gradients running against each other work well. The lower left is all that keeps it from becoming an abstract (which might have been interesting in itself).

The composition is very good - depth of focus also used to good effect. The exaggeration of the sky tone turns it into more of an abstract than a landscape. Very pleasing image.

very good! it might be even better without so much emphasis at the bottom left.. don't know, i might be wrong
